One of the Midlands most popular lunch buffets wants everyone to know that they are open for business.
The Brookland Banquet & Conference Center, located next to Brookland Baptist Church at 1046 Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia, closed with the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic. But many people don’t know that it has reopened.
“We have been open since October,” said Lawrence Jones, manager of the facility. “It doesn’t seem like that long, but we opened the first Tuesday in October.”
“We are open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.,” said Lawrence Jones, manager of the facility. We are still available to do caterings, special events on Saturdays and things like that. That is for dine-in or takeout.”
Lawrence says that the staff is working hard to make sure their customers feel safe.
“We are following COVID guidelines,” Lawrence continued. “Social distancing, masks, and the buffet is a tended buffet. We serve it. We haven’t gone back to people serving themselves yet. We probably won’t go back to doing that until after the summer when we see what the COVID numbers look like.”
Lunch buffet is $10.99 for adults, $9.99 for seniors and $5.99 for children ages 5-12. Café Blessed Plates To-Go are $8.99 for adults and $7.99 for seniors. Deliveries are available through Grubhub.
For the rest of 2021, the Brookland Banquet & Conference Center is offering 2 for $20 Tuesdays. Two people can dine for $20. The price does not include drink or tax.
