The Second Annual Community Legacy Awards Gala presented by the Omicron Lambda Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated will take place on Saturday, February 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ganann Center for Teacher Education (formally Speers Street Elementary School) located at 1221 Speers Street Newberry, South Carolina.

Slated to be honored are Mrs. Betty Boles, Greenwood City Councilwoman, Mrs. Leila Caldwell, Retired Educator, Ms. F. Ann Childs, Businesswoman, Mr. John Glasgow, Newberry Housing Authority, and Dr. Kenneth Mufuka Author and Educator.

The primary goal of this event is to recognize individuals who have made significant contribution to the Newberry and surrounding communities. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Omicron Lambda Sigma Scholarship Fund and Youth Initiative Program.
