Robert Cunningham, Cleaves Memorial CME Guest Speaker

On Sunday, October 13, the members of Cleaves Memorial CME Church will observe CME Connectional Lay Day at 10:00 a.m. This year’s theme is: "A Call to Influence...Leading a Way to a Better Future."

The speaker will be Mr. Robert Cunningham who is a member of Reid Chapel AME Church. Mr. Cunningham retired after an exemplary career in the U.S. Army. He then worked for SCE&G and the State Department of Education. At Reid Chapel he now serves as a member of the Voices of Unity Choir, Trustee Board and Security Team.

Mr. Cunningham and his wife, Thilmore, have three children and seven grands. He is also known for his fried fish and words of wisdom to young people.

The Lay members of Cleaves are looking forward to their special day. Mrs. Dorothy Jackson is the Local Lay President. Rev. Dr. Doris L. Hicks is the pastor.
