I. DeQuincey Newman United Methodist Church hosted "Celebrating our Youth and Children in Worship"

The I. DeQuincey Newman United Methodist Church celebrated the fifth Sunday in July by welcoming the Education Ministry of the church to prepare for worship service. The speaker for the day was Cyrus Hall, lll. Mr. Hall is a member of the church. He attends the University of South Carolina with a major in Chemical Engineering.

His topic today was "Giving Up.” He delivered an inspiring message with several scriptures to reinforce his thinking on what to do when you don't know what to do and want to give in and give up. The children and youth, under the direction of Mr. Devin Robinson, did an excellent job presenting the music. The service was very engaging and inspiring. This was a wonderful way to celebrate our children and youth. We thank our pastor for his insightfulness and his willingness to let the children lead the way.

Everyone is always welcome to join I DeQuincey Newman UMC services every Sunday. Sunday school begins at 9 a.m. and church services begin at 10 a.m. Rev. Jack C. Washington is the Pastor. The church is located at 7801 Wilson Boulevard in Columbia, South Carolina.
