As part of their scholarship initiative, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter, Irmo, SC in partnership with the Ivy Heritage Foundation of Irmo, Incorporated, awarded ten high school graduating seniors with over $5,000 towards their college education. These students were selected based on academic achievement and character. The chapter is elated to present each student with a scholarship that supports the foundation of their future.

Klarc Robinson, a graduate of Dutch Fork High School, received The Ivy Heritage Foundation of Irmo (IHF) Scholarship; she plans to attend either Georgia Southern University or University of Central Florida to study Health Sciences.

Candice Govan, a graduate of White Knoll High School, received the chapter’s Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Scholarship; she plans to attend South Carolina State University to study Family and Consumer Sciences/Nutrition.
