The ladies of the Columbia Branch of the National Association of University Women hosted a Recognition Ceremony honoring caregivers. The ceremony was held Monday, January 12, 2020 at First Calvary Baptist Church in the Rev. Maxie S. Gordon Family Center.

The recognition included: a presenter, Ms. Beth Struble, Interim Development Director from Senior Resources of Columbia, followed by remarks and presentations of “Thank You” floral arrangements by President Lillie James. The ceremony ended with Ms. Julia Campbell dedicating the poem, “Caregiver” by Loraine (WilloRain), to all honorees. Mrs. Charlie M. Gunn and Mrs. Georgia Priester presided during the ceremony.

Recognitions were given to these special ladies for their unselfish contributions and care that often go unnoticed. Because caregivers continuously give of themselves to family and to others every day, this recognition ceremony was given in their honor to applaud them for their compassion, their dedication, their loving spirit, their determination, and so much more.
