Phi Beta Sigma

Every two years during its National Conclave, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., names its Alumni Model Chapter of the Year from among nominees across the United States and internationally. The competition consisted of a panel interview, a chapter display, and a detailed written chapter report which described what the chapter had done throughout the year in their respective communities in support of the fraternity's national programs (Education, Social Action, Bigger and Better Business and Sigma Beta Clubs), the fraternity's partnerships (March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Center for Disease Control Prevention and Boy Scouts of America), and the overall promotion of the fraternity's ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship and Service.

This year Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. named the Beta Chi Sigma Chapter (Columbia, SC) the International Gold Level Alumni Model Chapter of the Year during this year's Conclave held in Las Vegas, NV, July 9-13.
