The Columbia Police Department (CPD) is partnering with the Richland Library for ‘Cocoa with a Cop,’ to bring citizens together for an open conversation about community policing, crime prevention, and to answer questions about CPD and library services while enjoying a hot beverage.

Join us for Cocoa with a Cop from 9 - 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 29 at the Richland Library Main (1431 Assembly Street). The program is free and open to the public.

The library Cafe plans to serve up a complimentary cup of hot chocolate and offer different toppings. The event is modeled after the national initiative ‘Coffee with a Cop” that CPD regularly hosts throughout the City of Columbia.

Before leaving the event, children and their parents can make the most of their visit to the library by attending ‘Family Storytime’, which starts at 10:30 a.m. on the Garden Level.
